Thai Minister of Culture Visits
Arwout Jenchougrine, Thai Minister of
Culture,
and his assistant, Dr. Sririchaichan,
recently arrived from Thailand and met with the Buddhist Monks
from the Wat Dhammaran Temple in Kissimmee, Florida.
They all dined at the Siam Orchid on November 2, 2000
before visiting Sarasota's Museum of Asian Art (MAART).
They didn't want to miss the rare, original Thai art exhibit
which makes its permanent home here in Sarasota.
MAART is owned and operated by Dr. Wall-Apelt of Sarasota.

G.WIZ FUNDRAISER
The
"Taste of Thai" fundraiser held at the Siam Orchid restaurant
raised more than $4,000 for G.WIZ, Sarasota's hands-on science and
technology center. As a result, G.WIZ opened in the
newly-renovated, former Selby Library building.
Pictured, left to right, are Don and Carol Bilvas, Pat Lanier, and
Marvin Danto as they prepare to enjoy some Thai delicacies.

G.WIZ supporters were entertained by
Thai dancers
with a traditional dance of Thailand.
G.WIZ fundraisers and supporters
are dedicated to running a top-notch organization
which provides a hands-on science and technology education
to their visitors and also benefits needy children.
G.WIZ is a
valuable asset to the Sarasota community.
THANK YOU to
G.WIZ!!!!
